Abstract
Recent experiments have revealed strong correlations between the trajectories of electron bunch and photon pulse trains at the European XFEL. We propose an X-ray beam steering method which manipulates electron bunch dynamics to yield precise control of the X-ray source pointing angle. We subsequently demonstrate MHz rate photon beam steering, observing changes in X-ray beam position beyond the acceptance of instrument optics. This technique could enable new opportunities in operation and experiment at the European XFEL.
